One of the division's main responsibilities is university teaching and training of future health care professionals. Consequently, we place great importance on passing on sound scientific knowledge and a patient-centered approach to students and trainees. Postgraduate training and professional development are also key concerns.
The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetology places great important on educating students according to the latest scientific findings and in harmony with the university's research mission. Our division's long-standing tradition of cutting-edge international research has given rise to excellent networking with national and international partners as well as with other departments and divisions of University Hospital Graz (e.g., Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
The wide range of professional development opportunities at the Medical University of Graz is directed at a variety of occupational groups in the fields of medicine, science and research, nursing and health services. Most of the professional development courses can be completed while the participant is regularly employed and provide him/her with a valuable additional qualification.
